Digital marketing is the act of advertising to potential customers and clients via digital means, such as on a computer or phone. These digital channels include search engines, social media, and email. It’s different than traditional advertisements, such as billboards and print advertisements, and constantly evolving. Advertising your business through digital means is a great way to gain new clients. Your next client is already online so why not target him or her there?
There is an area of digital marketing that is right for every business. Most components of digital marketing fall under inbound marketing. Inbound Marketing is defined by HubSpot as “attracting customers through relevant and helpful content and adding value at every stage in your customer’s buying journey.” This marketing strategy is useful for brining in clients that already need your services but don’t know where to get those services.
You can actually optimize your website so it shows up higher in search results. This technique is called search engine optimization (SEO). Search engine optimization, defined by SEO expert Neil Patel is the “process of optimizing your online content so that a search engine likes to show it as a top result for searches of a certain keyword.” Check out our post on some of the factors we look at for SEO. At Dijatek, we offer SEO audits as well as SEO packages.
SEO improves organic search ranking. Another way to improve ranking on a search engine is via paid search. When you search on Google, the first two or three results are usually paid search ads. These paid ads are noted with a small square that says Ad under the title. Paid search ads are created and managed through Google Ads, formally Google AdWords. For paid ads on search networks, you bid on certain keywords that are associated with your business. We also offers paid search management.
One of our marketing specialities is digital marketing for non-profits. Non-profits are eligible to apply for Google Grants. Google Grants is a program by Google that allows non-profits up to $10,000 in free advertising on the Google search engine. This grant is managed on Google Ads. Starting in January of 2018, Google released new guidelines that must be followed to keep a Google Ad Grant active. Following these guidelines take knowledge and time. If these guidelines are not followed, the non-profit will lose its grant and all data on the account. The organization can re-apply but will have to start with a new account.
Dijatek offer Google Grant management as well as assistance in the process of applying.
If the website ends with .org and the organization hold valid charity status, chances are the charity or non-profit organization is eligible. Non-profit organizations that are not eligible for a Google Grant includes governmental entities, hospitals, schools, and universities. However, philanthropic arms of educational institutions are eligible for a Google Ad Grant.
To start the Google Grant process, your organization must apply to Google for Nonprofits. Once approved, your organization can begin the application process for a Google Ad Grant, which allows for up to $10,000 of advertising on Google.
